Hope you all had a Happy Valentine’s Day full of love and appreciation!
I’m back with a belated Valentine card design I made this week. This was my first go at designing valentine cards. To be honest, I didn’t start making these until about 3 or 4 days before Valentine’s Day and the only photo I took of them was a photo of the cards ready to go the morning of.
Inspired by the valentine cards with flashlight favors by Sonnet of Soho Sonnet, I purchased some LED flashlights from Amazon (so thankful for Prime and 2 day shipping) and went on designing the cards.
I asked my 6 year old what kind of characters he wanted on his Valentine cards and his reply was, “Minions and Snoopy!” So I created two types of cards: the Snoopy Valentine card for his classmates and the Minion card for his teachers.
I quickly whipped up some cute cards for his class and teachers with a cute saying that they light up the world (I’m a sucker for cute sayings that go with the gift). I loved watching my son address each card himself (proud mommy right here). Each card was about 3.5 x 5 inches in size.
Here are the finished cards ready to go. Unfortunately you can’t see the flashlights that were attached due to them being buried behind the cards. In the end, it could have been better, but due to time it was good enough. I still like how it turned out.
Aren’t they cute? My son was so excited to take them to school. I hope the class enjoyed them as much as my son and I enjoyed making them.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Comment below for future projects you would like to see.
Have a love-filled weekend!
